Hello, I'm Nancy
I am a Registered Humanist Wedding Officiant, registered with the Office of the Registrar General of Ontario, based in Dunrobin and serving Ottawa, West Carleton, Almonte, Arnprior, Carleton Place, and the surrounding region. I officiate for all couples — every love story is welcome here. I bring that same care and intention to every ceremony I lead, whether it's a wedding, a celebration of life, or a milestone worth marking.
I came to this work because I believe that the moments that shape our lives deserve to be honoured with words that actually mean something. Not borrowed phrases from a script, but language that reflects who you are, what you've been through, and what you're stepping into.
My approach
Your story, told with intention
I take time to get to know you before I write a single word. For weddings, that means conversations about how you met, what you love about each other, and what you want your guests to feel. For memorials and life ceremonies, it means listening carefully to what needs to be said — and what needs to be held gently. Every ceremony I create is written from scratch, shaped around the people at the centre of it.

As a Humanist officiant, I celebrate every couple and every family. Humanist ceremonies are secular by nature — and every background, culture, and identity is welcome here.

What I offer
I officiate weddings and elopements of all sizes — from an intimate two-person ceremony in a backyard to a fully customized celebration with family and friends. I also create and lead memorials, celebrations of life, life transition ceremonies, and family milestone events. I am based in Dunrobin, Ontario and serve couples and families throughout Ottawa, West Carleton, Almonte, Arnprior, Carleton Place, and the surrounding communities. Travel beyond the local area is welcome — a travel surcharge applies.
